The job departments for the Indian Railways are divided into four groups: Group A; Group B; Group C; Group D. Students can apply for Group C & D after completimg their 12th. Some of the jobs in the Indian Railway for which the 10+2 pass candidate can apply for are: a) Lower Division Clerk; b) Railway Ticket Collector; c) Station Master; d) Railway Constable; e) Railway clerk; f) Engine Driver; g) Assistant Loco pilot; h) Track man; i) Helpers; j) Store Keeper; k) Goods guards; l) Signal Maintenance; m) Typist etc.
Eligibility: Eligibility for railway jobs may vary with job profile but there are a few criteria that are applicable to all positions.
- Educational Qualification: Applicant needs to have passed class 12 or its equivalent examination from a recognised institution or Matriculation Plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT.
- Age limit: Minimum age limit eligibility is between 18 years to 29 Years.
Selection Process: Selection procedure of Indian railways consists of 2 processes which are: 1) Written test; and 2) Final Interview.
