जगदगुरु कृपालु महाराज (अंग्रेज़ी: Kripalu Maharaj, वास्तविक नाम: राम कृपालु त्रिपाठी, जन्म:6 अक्टूबर, 1922 - मृत्यु: 15 नवंबर, 2013) एक आधुनिक संत एवं आध्यात्मिक गुरु थे। कृपालु महाराज का जन्म प्रतापगढ़ जिले की कुंडा तहसील के मनगढ़ गांव में 6 अक्टूबर, 1922 को हुआ था। उत्तर प्रदेश के प्रतापगढ़ के मनगढ स्थित सुप्रसिद्ध भक्ति धाम तथा मथुरा जिला के वृन्दावन स्थित प्रेम मंदिर का निर्माण कृपालु महाराज ने करवाया था। इनकी आध्यात्मिक शिक्षा बनारस में हुई।


जीवन परिचय
अपनी ननिहाल मनगढ़ में जन्मे राम कृपालु त्रिपाठी ने गाँव के ही मिडिल स्कूल से 7वीं कक्षा तक की शिक्षा प्राप्त की और उसके बाद आगे की पढ़ाई के लिये महू, मध्य प्रदेश चले गये। अपने ननिहाल में ही पत्नी पद्मा के साथ गृहस्थ जीवन की शुरुआत की और राधा-कृष्ण की भक्ति में तल्लीन हो गये। भक्ति-योग पर आधारित उनके प्रवचन सुनने भारी संख्या में श्रद्धालु पहुँचने लगे। फिर तो उनकी ख्याति देश के अलावा विदेश तक जा पहुँची। उनके परिवार में दो बेटे घनश्याम व बालकृष्ण त्रिपाठी हैं। इसके अलावा तीन बेटियाँ भी हैं - विशाखा, श्यामा व कृष्णा त्रिपाठी। उन्होंने अपने दोनों बेटों की शादी कर दी जो इस समय दिल्ली में रहकर उनके ट्रस्ट का सारा कामकाज खुद सम्हालते हैं। जबकि उनकी तीनों बेटियों ने अपने पिता की राधा कृष्ण भक्ति को देखते हुए विवाह करने से मना कर दिया और कृपालु महाराज की सेवा में जुट गयीं। जगद्गुरु कृपालु महाराज का 15 नवम्बर, 2013 (शुक्रवार) सुबह 7 बजकर 5 मिनट पर गुड़गाँव के फोर्टिस अस्पताल में निधन हो गया।


भगवान कृष्ण और राधा के मन्दिर के रूप में बनवाया गया प्रेम मन्दिर कृपालु महाराज की ही अवधारणा का परिणाम है। भारत में मथुरा के समीप वृंदावन में स्थित इस मन्दिर के निर्माण में 11 वर्ष का समय और लगभग सौ करोड़ रुपए खर्च हुए थे। इटैलियन संगमरमर का प्रयोग करते हुए इसे राजस्थान और उत्तर प्रदेश के एक हजार शिल्पकारों ने तैयार किया। इस मन्दिर का शिलान्यास स्वयं कृपालुजी ने ही किया था। यह मन्दिर प्राचीन भारतीय शिल्पकला का एक उत्कृष्ट नमूना है। मन्दिर वास्तुकला के माध्यम से दिव्य प्रेम को साकार करता है। सभी वर्ण, जाति तथा देश के लोगों के लिये हमेशा खुले रहने वाले इसके दरवाज़े सभी दिशाओं में खुलते है। मुख्य प्रवेश द्वार पर आठ मयूरों के नक्काशीदार तोरण हैं एवं सम्पूर्ण मन्दिर की बाहरी दीवारों को राधा-कृष्ण की लीलाओं से सजाया गया है। मन्दिर में कुल 94 स्तम्भ हैं जो राधा-कृष्ण की विभिन्न लीलाओं से सजाये गये हैं। अधिकांश स्तम्भों पर गोपियों की मूर्तियाँ अंकित हैं।


Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj ( (5 October 1922 – 15 November 2013) was a Hindu spiritual leader and Jagadguru from Allahabad (Prayag), India.


He was the founder of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat (JKP), a worldwide Hindu non-profit organization with 5 main ashrams; four in India and one in the United States.JKP Radha Madhav Dham is one of the largest Hindu Temple complexes in the Western Hemisphere, and the largest in North America.


He was awarded the title of Jagadguru (world teacher) at the age of 34 by Kashi Vidvat Parishat (the oldest and most recognised body of Varanasi's intellectuals) on Makar Sankranti day, 14 January 1957.


Kripalu Ji Maharaj was born on Sharad Purnima, the full moon on the month of Sharad (5 October 1922),as Ram Kripalu Tripathi in Mangarh district Pratapgarh, near Allahabad, in India.He received his preliminary education in Hindi and Sanskrit in the local school. He went on to study advanced Sanskrit and Ayurved in Ashtang Ayurved College, Lokmanya Nagar, Indore and Varanasi and spent a year or more around Chitrakoot. After completing his formal education, at the age of 16, he entered into self-imposed vanvas. He found his way to Vrindavan and the next year he emerged as a Guru, known affectionately as Shri Maharaj Ji. When he was 17 years old, he led a 6-month continuous chanting of the "Maha Mantra".



In 1955 Kripalu Ji organized a religious convention for prominent spiritual leaders in India.Mahamahopadhyay Giridhar Sharma, President of the Kashi Vidvat Parishat had also come and was impressed by Kripalu Ji's scriptural knowledge.Kripalu Ji was invited to give discourse at the Kashi Vidvat Parishat in 1957.


The congregation had scholars from Varanasi and other parts of India. His speeches lasted for seven days, after which he was formally installed as the fifth Jagadguru ("world teacher"). He was 34 years old when given the title on 14 January 1957, by the Kashi Vidvat Parishat, a group of Hindu scholars.The Kashi Vidvat Parishat also conferred on him the titles Bhaktiyog-Ras-Avtar and Jagadguruttam.


He is the fifth original Jagadguru in the series of Jagadgurus after Śrīpāda Śaṅkarācārya (A.D. 788-820), Śrīpāda Rāmānujācārya (1017-1137), Śrī Nimbārkācārya and, Śrīpāda Madhvācārya (1239-1319). He was also awarded, by the Kashi Vidvat Parishat, the title Samanvaya-Acharya, i.e., He analyses and reconciles the meaning of all the scriptures, the six philosophies and the (seemingly contradictory) teachings of other previous Jagadgurus. After being awarded Jagadguruttam (the foremost among Jagadgurus), he spent most of the initial years in Agra. Prem Ras Sidhhant and Prem Ras Madira were also written during that phase of His life, which extends from late 1950s to 1970s.



According to Kripalu Ji, "the desired goal of the soul is to attain the selfless Divine love of Radha Krishna who are eternally related to you". He taught that Radha Krishna are the supreme 'form' of God and the 'form' of Divine Love and are eternally related to us.Kripalu Ji's discourses are broadcast daily on several religious TV channels, including DD India, Aastha TV, Sadhna TV, IBN 7, News24 and Sanskar TV.In the United States, his discourses are also broadcast everyday on TV Asia. In his TV discourses, Kripalu Ji quotes the chapter and verse of almost everything he cites from the scriptures.



Kripalu Ji was the founder and preceptor of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat (JKP), a worldwide Hindu non-profit religious organization with four main ashrams in India, (Rangeeli Mahal, Barsana; Bhakti Dham, Mangarh; Shyama Shyam Dham, Vrindavan and Jagadguru Dham, Vrindavan) and one in the USA (Radha Madhav Dham, Austin). Besides these 5 main ashrams, Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat has established a number of teacher centres in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Fiji Island, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Nepal, Ireland, Scotland, Singapore, Trinidad, West Indies, United Kingdom and in many cities throughout India and USA. The organization also publishes a Hindi magazine, Sadhan Sadhya, three times a year,as well as a monthly newsletter.


He also established three temples. – Shri Raseshwari Radha Rani Temple, Austin; Bhakti Mandir, Mangarh; Prem Mandir, VrindavanKripalu Ji established three free hospitals. The Jagadguru Kripalu Chikitsalaya, Mangarh, the Jagadguru Kripalu Chikitsalaya (Barsana), and the Jagadguru Kripalu Chikitsalaya (Vrindavan) are serving rural populations of 1,000,000 within their catchment radius of 80–100 km each and each treating 600 – 700 patients daily. The expenses are all borne by Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat. A secular educational Institution is being financed and run by Kripalu Ji's educational trust, Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat Education (JKP Education), which provides underprivileged women and girls free education up to post graduation level.JKP Education runs three colleges for girls in Kunda, Uttar Pradesh (Kripalu Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Kripalu Balika Primary School and Kripalu Balika Intermediate College). Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat also donates money for disaster relief,including Rs. 10 lacs for the aid of Bhuj earthquake victims in 2001, Rs. 25 Lacs for tsunami victims in 2004 and again Rs. 2 Crore for Bihar flood victims in 2008. In May 2013, Kripalu Ji donated Rs.1 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief fund for the victims of the Uttarakhand floods. In 2013, Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat Education president Vishakha Tripathi received the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award, the Mother Teresa Excellence Award and the Nari Shakti Award for work providing free education to 5000 girls and women in rural India.
